Description:
Anti-trafficking organization focused on aftercare, prevention, and collaboration.

Experience, Background and Services:
Willow International has been working in Uganda since 2009. We provide aftercare services, lead the anti-trafficking coalition in Uganda, and have various prevention programs.

We provide residential and external aftercare services to domestic and transnational survivors of trafficking. We accept referrals from approved organizations and government agencies and are always looking to grow our list of international partners. Survivors are matched with a case manager who creates a unique, individualized case plan and coordinates care. The goal of the aftercare program is to empower each survivor to be free from re-victimization, heal from trauma, reconcile with family / resettle independently or with relatives, and live a healthy life.

Aftercare Services Include:

Safety: Residential facility, airport pickup, family reconciliation, home safety checks.

Health: Medical care and access to HIV treatment and support.

Education/Economic Development: Vocational and formal education scholarships, access to capital, business skills training, tutoring, and literacy trainings.

Psychosocial support: Individual counseling and therapeutic interventions, social connectivity opportunities, support groups, mentorship, character/leadership development training, yoga, art therapy, and play therapy.

Spiritual Support: (Participation is not mandatory) Daily prayer, worship, and devotion. Spiritual mentorship, weekly bible studies, and access to church activities including choir and youth group are provided.

Victim Advocacy: If a charge is brought against a trafficker, survivors have the ability to testify in court with the support of our victim advocate.
