Experience, Background and Services:
As independent National Rapporteur on trafficking in human beings for Belgium, we have the mission to stimulate the fight against trafficking (and smuggling) of human beings in Belgium. Myria carries out a yearly independent and public policy evaluation report. In cases of both human trafficking and smuggling, Myria can take legal action and make statements, either in its own name or on behalf of the victim. Myria hosts the secretariat of the Interdepartmental Unit of Coordination for Human Trafficking Prevention, who coordinates policy in the field at a national level.
