She is a highly skilled and qualified thought-leader offering a unique perspective on the intersecting complexities of trafficking, exploitation, child pornography, violence and criminal behavior, victimization, vulnerabilities, and cultural competency

Sunny has personally worked with victims and survivors of human trafficking and exploitation schemes --children, men, women, persons who identify as LGBT. She has focused a large segment of her work on marginalized minority populations which go largely ignored.

 Evaluated international programs providing services and support to victims which led to the development of a training assessment tool being used globally.

 Worked with one of the largest health management systems to provide expertise and support in the development of a dedicated unit for child victims and survivors needing treatment for trauma.

 She has worked on human trafficking campaigns for the Department of Homeland Security and the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health and the US Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families

 Led efforts in writing anti-trafficking state law, regional and national policy

 Opined an Expert Witness report in a federal case which garnered a $6M dollar settlement in the case involving a missing male child.

 Worked with victims and survivors of intersectional experiences -- victims of other crimes drug trafficking, capital murder, domestic and sexual violence, mass incarceration, the Opioid Impact, and other addictions.

 Worked with the families of black and brown missing, exploited, trafficked, and sometimes murdered children to assist them in navigating the complexities of the criminal justice system, law enforcement engagement and media messaging which is sometimes not available or seen in the same lens as their counterparts.

 Responsible for the coordination of collaborative partnerships, and multijurisdictional operations across professional disciplines, for the execution of initiatives with a focus on prevention, intervention, community engagement, and agency preparedness.

 Worked as a subject matter expert with news anchors, and journalist developing background information for investigative reports and news stories (television and print). She has served as an on-camera Crime Analyst national, and global media outlets including; ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN/HLN After Dark and Trinity Broadcast Network.

 Developed three signature training programs on human trafficking which are highly regarded by national and international experts in human trafficking.
