I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, Associated Fellow of the British Psychological Society, and Accredited CBT Therapist.
Experience, Background and Services:
I am a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with a multicultural background, specialising in and possessing expert knowledge of cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), neuropsychology, expert witness, and medico-legal assessments. I have over 17 years of clinical experience in treating a wide variety of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions.
I am passionate about supporting victims of human trafficking and modern slavery in their journey to seek justice and reclaim life back. I specifically have experience in assessing victims of human trafficking and modern slavery and working as an expert witness for the courts in such cases. I also support the victims to overcome their traumatic experiences through cognitive-behavioural therapy.
I have lived in different countries including Brazil, USA, and the UK, and have an understanding and appreciation of how diverse cultural backgrounds can influence behaviour, cognition, beliefs and mental health generally. I am fluent in 3 languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish).
