Ben is a criminal barrister specialising in defence and appellate work, with particular experience acting on behalf of victims of trafficking.
Experience, Background and Services:
Ben has been in criminal practice since 2004 and at Doughty Street Chambers since 2007. He is ranked as a leading junior in Crime by the editors of the Chambers & Partners guide to the legal profession, and in Crime, Fraud, and Business and Regulatory Crime by the Legal 500.
Prior to his legal career Ben studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, specialising in the politics and economics of developing countries. He retains a strong interest in international humanitarian issues and is a member of Lawyers for Liberty and Amnesty International. Before being called to the Bar he spent three months in Kansas City working on appeal cases for prisoners on death row.
