Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bedfordshire

Experience, Background and Services:
During the past 15 years Dr Bovarnick has worked for various NGOs and government institutions in the UK, continental Europe and Latin America. In the UK she was employed as a Senior Research Officer at the NSPCC carrying out research on different areas of child maltreatment.

Her research has included a participatory project on young people and neglect in cooperation with the Children's Society and the University of York and a study on practitioners' responses to child trafficking in collaboration with the University of Bedfordshire.

She has previously worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Health undertaking a comprehensive national research programme on the health and mental health implications of violence and abuse.
